Recent NARS Purchases

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

NARS Cosmetics has been one of my favourite brands for a long, long time. I love their sleek and chic black packaging, the fact that they are cruelty free, and of course the incredible quality of their products. My NARS collection certainly grew quite a bit post Sephora VIB sale - if you haven't seen my entire haul from the sale I will link in HERE. Everything I purchased is cruelty free and there is a lot of skincare & NARS featured in this haul!  Anyway... on to this post!

I am so impressed with all three items photographed above that I don't even know where to begin! Can you tell it has been a hot minute since I last posted a blog post? ;)

I will start with the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. You will see it in action in this video where I did a complete start to finish makeup look using only NARS products (with the exception of primer, powder and mascara). It is not for those who like full coverage, yet it is perfect for those who like a sheer-light base with a beautiful youthful glow. You will see in my makeup tutorial how I do one light layer and then use concealer on the areas that I need a little added coverage (aka any blemishes and redness!). It lasts about 6 hours on my combination skin before I need to blot and reapply a mattifying powder to my forehead. It doesn't completely wear off under my glasses nose pieces, and if you are a glasses wearer as well you will appreciate that more then you thought you would! Although I do get oily on my forehead I find I just look more radiant and glowy then I do actually glowy. A really great tinted moisturizer and I know I will be reaching for it non-stop this cold and frigid Canadian winter!

The Hot Sand liquid illuminator is a product I didn't think I would love as much as I do! It is a beautiful peachy shade that looks almost undetectable on your skin yet leaves the perfect amount of a natural glow. The tinted moisturizer and highlight combo gives the *perfect* no makeup-makeup look! You need the smallest amount and I dab it between my two ring fingers and then tap tap tap on my cheek bones and brow bone and you're done! This is a huge bottle and it will last you ages! If you have dry skin and are looking for even more of a glow, adding this into your foundation/TM will give you the most beautiful yet natural looking glow. I can't get enough of this product! I believe it is an online only item on Sephora.ca or you can get it in a NARS store if you are lucky enough to have one near you! (I'm very jealous if you do...)

Last but certainly not least - Chelsea Girls Lip Gloss. My goodness! I know this product was getting a ton of attention right now and I am definitely not a lip gloss type of girl....but I am OBSESSED with this gloss! First of all the formula is absolutely perfect as it is so smooth and buttery on your lips and isn't sticky in the SLIGHTEST bit. I also own their gloss in the shade Orgasm but I wanted on that was less shimmery and this colour is perfect for my lips! It is a beautiful pinky beige colour that provides a lot of shine on your lips. I really can't say enough good things about it! I don't usually carry lip glosses around town with me but whenever I am out I crave this gloss so much that it now goes everywhere with me!

NAKED BASICS | GRWM

Saturday, September 26, 2015

I'm all about the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette at the moment, I am kicking myself for not purchasing this sooner! I never knew how essential an all matte palette would be, but my gosh I can't get enough!

I also think that this makeup look is so cute for fall time with a flush of berry on the cheeks and lips. I added a blanket scarf from Forever 21, curled my hair a bit, and I was ready for my day!

If you'd like to see my current go to makeup look, plus hear me totally mess up the name of an eye shadow (still very embarrassed about this...) then be sure to watch my most recent tutorial by clicking HERE.

Thank you SO much for watching, and don't forget to subscribe to my channel!

Foundation Collection!

In today's video I shared with you my foundation collection and the ones I have tried in the past but have since moved on from. Make sure you read my description box because I listed a LOT of info in there!

Current Makeup

As most of you know I am a huge neutral makeup lover and I always tend to wear the same look day to day. I wanted to share with you what I've been wearing as it is really simple, natural, and easy for those early school/work day mornings!

FACE:
I always start with a primer, I've done this for years and it feels weird for me to not wear a primer! I love the Tarte 12 Hour Brightening Primer for summer or winter. It really gives you a beautiful angelic glow that I can't say no to! I then go in with my foundation. For 5 months straight I have been HOOKED on the Josie Maran Serum Matchmaker Foundation, but at the moment I am loving the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. I am in the shade Ivory and it is a pretty good match! It is quite golden toned but it does match my chest and neck very well. For my undereyes and any redness I use the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I use a BeautyBlender for my foundation and concealer and it really gives a skin like finish that I love! For powder I always use the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder under my eyes, on my forehead and nose. I purchased the smaller size as you still get lots of product and of course it is a bit cheaper!

CHEEKS:
Oh goodness. Do I need to even have an introduction for BECCA Champagne Pop? It is the most beautiful highlight I have owned! For 3-4 years I have been using MAC Soft & Gentle highlight and I absolutely love it and highly recommend. I just knew I couldn't pass up Champagne Pop. I have several swatches of it on my instagram which you can view HERE. For blush I do tend to change that up everyday. I have quite a collection of blushes and I can't stop buying them! I LOVE BLUSH! I really love Tarte Dollface Blush, as well as NARS Deep Throat blush. Dollface is a slightly cooler pink that really looks so pretty on fair skin. Deep Throat is a tad darker with more shimmer and a *slight* coral undertone. I have been applying bronzer to my temples and nose, and for that I love ARS Laguna Bronzer.

EYES:
I am so simple on my eyes! I always have been and I think it just suits me.... or maybe it's just what I am used to. I just purchased the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette 3 days ago and I am LOVING that right now, but in the long run I have been using mostly my MAC eyeshadows. I use Blanc Type on my brow bone and inner corner, Jest all over the lid, and Wedge in the crease and outer corner. It is my favourite makeup look that takes me no time at all as it's what I've been doing for ages! For Mascara I use the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! mascara and I love it. I get really long lashes that never get too clumpy!

LIPS:
I always change up my lip colour just like I do with my blush! At the moment I am loving the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfecter in the shade 5 Candy Shimmer. It is a beautiful pink (with no shimmer haha) that smells amazing and lasts a long time on my lips for a gloss! My best friend purchased this for me and I have been using it daily. As a lot of you know, I also am totally obsessed with the YSL Tint In Oil in the shade Pink About Me. It is totally with all the hype & more that it receives! It goes on very oily/glossy and then within 10-15 minutes the slippery sensation is gone and you are left with a beautiful pink tinted stain that lasts a very long time! If I want to wear a lipstick that day, I always reach for MAC Syrup.

There you have it! My current makeup routine that I love and have been wearing every single day!

Don't forget to check out my YouTube channel that I have been posting on every week!

Too Faced | Born This Way Foundation

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Now I know this foundation has been showing up on everyones Bloglovin' feed and YouTube subscription boxes...but there's a good reason for that! This foundation is INCREDIBLE.

It is a medium to full coverage foundation that truly looks like skin. It is so great! You can still see my freckles peeking through yet any redness from blemishes are totally covered. This foundation is a genius. It has a beautiful skin like natural finish that sits really well with my combination skin type. I do get a tad bit shiny around the 5.5-6 hour mark and I have even noticed that along my nose the foundation wears off, something that I've never experienced before with a foundation. I do like to use a glowing primer underneath so I'm sure if I had used a mattifying primer instead, I wouldn't have that issue.

If you are interested in hearing more about my thoughts on the Too Faced Born This Way foundation and what it looks like on this pale gal, then click right HERE.

Much love!

Favourite Green Smoothie Recipe

Saturday, May 23, 2015

During my health and fitness journey I've found finding your favourite green smoothie is hard to come by! Some can taste too strong, some can be a weird texture, but finally...I've found my favourite! I made sure to add lots of healthy greens, and also add in some fruit to keep it tasting sweet & delicious.

This recipe will made 2 servings - which is great for me as I love having a smoothie at breakfast and lunch!

- 1 Kale leaf
- A large handful of spinach
- 1/2 a cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

* BLEND! * Your blender will be quite full from all the leafy greens so it's best to do this recipe in steps! Once blended until smooth, add in...

- 1 cup freshly chopped pineapple
- 1 cup frozen mango chunks
- 1/2 a cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

*BLEND!* Get ready for the smooth, creamy and delicious smoothie you're about to drink!

Your smoothie should come out looking just like the photos above! After snapping some pictures for this blog post, I added in raspberries and shredded coconut on top of my smoothie.

And that's it! A very simple and delicious green smoothie to get your vitamins and some excellent nutrients!

Hope you enjoy!

Jealous Body Scrub

Monday, May 4, 2015

A few months ago I was sent a coffee scrub to try by the Canadian brand Jealous*. It has taken me a while to report back mainly due to the fact that I've been crazy busy finishing up my fourth year of Massage Therapy.

The photo you see above was taken the day I received the package.  My 2 year old chocolate lab Lily took it off the counter and created a hole in the paper bag packaging which is why I'm attempting to hide it with the information card. Since the hole just kept growing and spilling everywhere (Thanks Lily) I had to tape up the hole and it isn't looking nearly as cute as when I first received it. Basically, that's why I'm using an older photo is what I'm trying to get at. ;)

Let me start of by saying that I LOVE this scrub! It is the first coffee scrub that I have ever tried and it makes my skin so baby soft and preps my skin perfectly for a fresh self tan application. I never noticed any difference in the condition of my skin but the Jealous Team does say that the scrub can help with cellulite, eczema, age spots, varicose veins  and stretch marks. The Coconut Oil and Vitamin E really leaves your skin so soft and moisturized. I will even feel my arms several hours later and I can still feel the softness of the coconut oil. I love how the brown sugar really helps exfoliate your skin - it's like a complete skin cell turn over!

I absolutely love the smell this scrub leaves in my shower. You can really smell it while you have applied the scrub to your body but once it is washed away you won't walk around smelling like a Tim Hortons coffee cup - not to worry. This scrub costs $17.95 and has free shipping to Canada and the USA. Such a bargain! I usually use 2-3 small handfuls for my whole body and I've been using this scrub about 3 times a week since February and I still have a ton left. I can't get over how affordable this scrub is and I have recommended it to so many of my massage therapy buddies!

I also apply a *small* amount to my face to help exfoliate and my GOSH my face has never felt so soft and smooth after I use this scrub! I have tried so many exfoliating products for my face and never has a product done what the Jealous Body Scrub* has.

I am over the moon with happiness with this scrub, and once I am getting low on this bag I know I'll be ordering another package because I don't think I can go without the coffee scrub throughout the summer months!

Kayla Itsines | Bikini Body Guide

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Something that I had mentioned in my lululemon haul a few months ago was how interested in fitness I am. I love EVERYTHING about working out. I love the feeling you get right as you enter the gym. I love the shaking muscles and the "just three more reps" thoughts that you get while working out. And more then anything...I love the feeling of completing a workout knowing you just did something amazing for your body.

When I was younger I was really into Karate, and got my black belt at a really young age. While in elementary school I was huge into track and field and was actually a really fast sprinter (I stopped in high school though as I was too nervous to try out for the team! Huge regrets!). Later into my teens I moved on from Karate and into basketball which kept me busy until the end of high school. Basically, I've always loved fitness.

If you are currently enrolled in College or University, you know how demanding school can be and how it is hard to manage a workout/fitness routine. I've always worked out but sometimes I would go two or three weeks without stepping foot into the gym because school was just too crazy. For two years I've been following the Australian personal trainer Kayla Itsines on Instagram and was so amazed at all the transformations girls were having all over the world. She has made a 12 week guide where you have three resistance training days and 3 LISS days. LISS can include 35-45 minutes of walking, running, jogging, zumba, spin classes.. anything you'd like to get your body moving! These days are actually very important I've recently discovered. Each resistance workout is 28 minutes long and you do two 7 minute circuits twice. (CIRCUIT 1 = 2x7 mins, CIRCUIT 2= 2x7mins)

Photo from Kayla's Instagram

I put off purchasing her guide for a long time as I found the price tag to be steep, but realistically it's probably very reasonably priced! On March 9 I bit the bullet and splurged on the $69.95 ebook and within a few minutes it had showed up in my inbox.

I am now mid way through week 3 and am already noticing my abs are a LOT more palpable when I'm not even flexing, and that my waist has gotten that little bit smaller.
To be honest, I've been really nervous that I wouldn't see any results. I am always looking at the "bbgprogress" hashtag on instagram and am seeing some incredible results just a few weeks in. Kayla recommends to take progress photos every four weeks, and well... I got curious and took some this morning. I'm not going to share my progress photos yet as they are very minimal but without taking this mornings photo, I don't think I would have even noticed how much flatter my stomach is and how my waist is getting smaller. I am definitely losing inches and the number on the scale is going UP. Don't forget - muscles weighs more then fat. It's so important to take these progress photos because I was getting so nervous and down on myself that I wasn't seeing any changes...and yet my body has been changing! I just needed the photos side by side to see it. Abs are more palpable/visible, stomach is flatter, and my waist is smaller. For three weeks in - I couldn't be happier.

Another reason I am loving Kayla's guide is the consistency. I haven't missed a work out yet (5 days a week! woo hoo!) and I've been eating much healthier. The fact that her workouts are only 28 minutes long means that I can easily fit them into my day/night even when school is as insane as it is now. I'm graduating from a four year program next month so I'm sure you can imagine how crazy school is right now!

Will you be giving this amazing ebook a try?

Soft Lip Rotation

Saturday, March 14, 2015

There is nothing worse in the cold winter months than having super dry and chapped lips. They can crack, peel, and just hurt! What has been really saving my lips the past few months that we have been experiencing -30C weather...these few products!

I've absolutely loved the LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub for many years now and I will probably always continue to repurchase or do a DIY. It really helps exfoliate your lips and take off any dry skin to really show how smooth and plump your lips are.

In the morning I can never leave my house without lip balm, and when I do I am totally aware of how dry my lips are! I really love the Sugar lip balms in Original & Rose in the morning. Rose gives such a pretty tint to your lips that often really brightens up my tired looking morning face. The original is clear which is another one of my firm favourites.

At night I love a thicker lip balm to really soak into my lips during my slumber. My all time favourite lip balm (and has been for two years now!) is the Nivea Vanilla & Macadamia lip butter. I also have the original and the raspberry version and there is nothing better then the sweet smell (and taste!) of the vanilla one. Yummy! It is quite thick and can feel fairly slippery on your lips but that's the exact reason why I love it so much during the night! It's like a little hydration mask for your lips :)

What are your favourite products or tricks for getting super soft lips?

L'Oreal Mascara's

Sunday, February 22, 2015

Ohhhh how I love mascaras! I have never splurged on a high end mascara until just this past week (cue Tarte's Gifted Mascara) because I find that the drugstore mascaras are just so incredible!

I have always had a thing for L'Oreal mascaras. My first love was the Telescopic Mascara (not photoed) for long long long lashes. Then I fell in love with the Voluminous Million Lashes mascara for lots of volume and non-clumped together lashes! You know the mascaras that make your lashes look like you only have 8 because they all clumped together? You will not find that here with any of these L'Oreal mascaras!

My tried and true mascara has always been the original Voluminous mascara. It has ever mattered to me if it is the curved brush or the straight brush...that formula is just amazing! If you haven't given it a try...what the heck are you waiting for?

My most recent L'Oreal love has been the Miss Manga mascara. I didn't know how I would get on with the wiggle cone shaped brush...but just WOW. My lashes have never looked so long and fluttery before! I have a strong feeling that this mascara will be a staple in my makeup collection. I will say that this mascara doesn't make them look as "full" as the previous two, but nonetheless it is a firm favourite of mine.

What are your favourite drugstore mascaras?

My Instagram

Saturday, February 7, 2015

On January 1, 2015 I finally said goodbye to my white iPhone 4 and said an excited hello to the stunning black iPhone 5s. Something about the black iPhone 5s I find so sleek and stunning. Since having a huge upgrade in the phone picture quality I have been uploading Instagram photos way more often!

My boyfriends parents bought me a beautiful white blanket that I always have on my bed and I think it makes the perfect background for my photos! I love how it brings in some texture and also makes the photos brighter. I also find it really flattering when I look at my profile and see a bunch of photos with the same background (slightly OCD?).

Matte Skin In An Instant

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

I picked up this wonderful primer during the Sephora VIB Sale in November and I have been using the BECCA Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector ever since. I always get quite shiny on my forehead and I get so self conscious of it! Since using this primer my oils really don't shine through anymore, it's amazing! I've been able to test out so many new foundations and I've really come to understand what it looks like to be "luminous" and not oily on my combination skin.

I tend to be attracted to more mattifying foundations (you can watch my foundation routine HERE) due to my shiny forehead but even when I use a more luminous foundation such as NARS Sheer Glow Foundation or YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation my makeup looks just as good 10 hours later as it did when I first applied it. I really do think it is all because of this amazing mattifying primer! I find in the winter months my skin gets a little drier so the luminous foundations look extra pretty and really bring some life back into my skin. It is truly amazing that I feel as if I can wear any foundation now with this bomb dot com primer.

When you squeeze a small amount onto the back of your hand it is a thick white consistency and due to the high price tag I only apply it where I feel like I need the extra mattification (Did I just make that word up? We're rolling with it...). Those areas tend to be my forehead (duh) and my nose. When you apply the primer it first goes on so smoothly then suddenly it gets super sticky like you're applying a glue! It is so strange but that's when I move onto the next location and let that area dry. This primer does dry so fast which is perfect for my sleepy 6AM mornings.

I can't get enough of this primer and I love how it prolongs the wear time of my foundations and allows me to wear some stunning luminous foundations without making my oily! Have you ever tried this mattifying primer? What are some of your favourite primers?

3 Products To Perfect Brows

Sunday, January 18, 2015

I only just understood the importance of filling in my brows since September...safe to say I was late on that makeup must! I have quite dark and full eyebrows to begin with but there are areas that are sparse and due to the fact I wear glasses everyday I feel like clean and groomed brows are VERY important.

I use the Tweezerman Tweezers to clean up the tops and bottoms of my eyebrows between eyebrow waxes. I've always waxed my brows myself at home and I have never had any problems! I love these tweezers as they can really pick up the smallest of hairs. Again, I really try to clean up my brows often because of my glasses.

My staple items for my eyebrows have been:
- MAC Charcoal Brown Eyeshadow. A medium brown shade (it's looking quite warm/red in the photo but I promise it isn't!) that works great for dark brows. I heard about this shadow for brows from Tanya Burr and I haven't even attempted any other shadow shade since! It really fills in my brows great and is a shade that matches very nicely. Plus I love the fact that it is really an eyeshadow that doubles as a brow product! for $12.00CAD I really do feel like I'm getting my moneys worth.

- MAC 266 Brush. This is a brand new staple for me...brand new as in a week old! But holy guacamole this makes filling in your brows SO simple! Before I was using a smaller brush from Sigma and the difference a brush size/shape makes is incredible. If you haven't given this brush a go for your brows - I strongly recommend it. It also picks up the colour way better then my previous brush which means I'm using less product. I love the tip of this brush for lightly filling in the front of my brows and really being able to imitate real hair!

- Essence Lash & Brow Gel. I always reach for a clear mascara to set my crazy brows in place and for several months now I've been repurchasing this one as it is so cheap (around the $2.00 mark) and does an amazing job. Before I was using one by Maybelline and I found it would leave white flakes in my brows and that was verrrry strange. My current tube is starting to look nasty on the inside since using the brow powder, and I feel totally guilt free buying a new tube knowing how cheap this is! It does have a strong hold but doesn't make my brows feel crunchy.

I also really love the Eyeko Brow Liner as it is in one universal shade (that really works on so many different brow colours!). It has a felt tip and is also very easy to imitate the look of real hairs. I use this when I am in a rush in my early mornings and it is also waterproof so you don't have to worry about your brows fading away or blowing off in the wind! (That's a joke...please don't let your brows blow off in the wind!!)

What are your favourite brow products?

HUGE Sephora Haul 2015 | Haircare, Makeup, Skincare

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

I hope you're in for watching a huge makeup haul this afternoon! I uploaded a video on the weekend about what I have purchased recently (and it's a lot!) and I have never had a video reach this many views so fast! I'm glad you're enjoying it if you have already watched!

Here is the link to watch my huge Sephora Haul! I purchased makeup, skincare, and haircare. I have actually got my hair cut the day after I uploaded this video so now I'm rocking the textured "lob" and putting some of these new hair products to use.

I did receive some of these items as Christmas gifts from my family, and others I had purchased on my own from working a TON this Christmas break. Sephora is my favourite store and it is just where I choose to spend my money. :)

I hope you like this video as much as I do, and I also really hope to see you subscribe and leave me a comment!

Top 14 Products of 2014

Sunday, January 4, 2015

Happy New Year!  2014 was an amazing year and I feel as if I have discovered a lot of products that will stick with me for many years. Now..lets see my Top 14 Products of 2014:

I've always loved wearing eyeshadow and I feel as if I've really found colours that really work on my fair skin and brown eyes. MAC makes some of my favourite eye shadow formulas and this palette I've built is what I've been reaching for the most this past year. A few of my favourite shadows include: Blanc Type, Jest, All That Glitters, Wedge, and Sable.

Before I apply my eyeshadow I ALWAYS use a primer. The Paint Pot from MAC in the shade Painterly has checked all the boxes I've been looking for. It conceals my eyelid veins, makes my shadows last longer, and also increases the pigmentation.

My favourite highlighter of 2014 has no doubt been Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish. It has the most beautiful peachy highlight that really brings the most perfect glow to my face. I apply it using a small stippling brush which really does apply the perfect amount. I usually love wearing matte foundations but sometimes I feel it can make me look a tad life-less, I just add this highlighter onto my cheek bones and I'm looking a little more 3D again! haha! I did a full review here.

My two most used lipsticks were both by MAC and they are in the shades Patisserie and Syrup. Two lipsticks I can just throw on and feel 100% comfortable in.

I'm really pleased that my favourite concealer and foundation of 2014 are from the drugstore! I have gone through so many tubes of the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer and it really is my favourite. The one photographed is a brand new tube and I purchased this one in the shade Neutralizer. I sometimes will flip between this shade and my normal "fair" shade. I love the strange sponge tip applicator that feels really soft under my eyes. It really brightens and covers up my dark circles on those early morning!

I have recently found (aka early December) my holy grail foundation (cue this post!) but I wanted to pick this CoverGirl & Olay Serum Foundation because this is the one I used most of this year. It has a light-medium coverage and leaves a soft satin finish. I usually don't like to wear a powder with this foundation because the finish is so nice! It smells of watermelons and really is just such an amazing foundation. I feel as if I have talked about this foundation so much on my blog but it is one that I really suggest you try out!

This past year is the year I really discovered how much I love blush. I have purchased so many and it was a tough one to narrow it down! I had to pick two... I just couldn't choose! I have spoken so many times about my love for the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes. They really are all my favourite! They are all so pigmented, last ages, and have such a wide variety of colours. My top pick of 2014 out of all their blushes is in the shade True Love. I am completely obsessed with this watermelon pink shade and it gives me such a healthy & romantic pop of pink to my cheeks.

I couldn't not add in the stunning Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. I was so excited when this was first released and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I purchased this early November but it quickly because such a favourite. Each colour is very pigmented and provides such a lovely glow to the cheeks. If you haven't picked this up yet - what are you waiting for?!

Perfume of choice has been the same since I was 17. That's four years of wearing the same scent almost everyday. Marc Jacobs Daisy is the perfect combination of fresh, romantic, and sophisticated. Here are the notes taken from the Sephora website: Strawberry, Violet Leaves, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet Petals, Jasmine Petals, Musk, Vanilla, White Woods.

I know scents are very personal and not everyone likes the same perfumes, but if you have a chance I really recommend taking a sniff of this perfume. I get compliments ALL the time when I wear this perfume and people seem to really love how it isn't very overwhelming and it stays light and fresh.

For hair I have been loving the Caviar CC Cream by Alterna. The CC stands for "Complete Correction" and it is a 10-in-1 leave in product for your hair. It leaves my hair so soft, frizz free, and really easy to manage! It's extra great in the summer as it has UV protection.

I use the Nivea Lip Butter in the ... scent? Vanilla & Macadamia every single night before bed. The smell is absolutely amazing and I always want to take a bite of it. I am almost done this tin and I have already bought another one as a back up. It really moisturizes my lips and keeps them soft and chap free!

This past year I really tried to moisturize my body more. I always moisturize my face but I would skip out on the rest of my body on a regular basis. For Christmas 2013 my boyfriend bought me The Body Shop Satsuma kit and I fell in love with the scent. It is so fresh and fruity! I went through the entire body wash so quick and am still using the body scrub that was in the kit. This body butter probably has 3 more uses and then it is time for a repurchase.

I found that this was the year I really discovered how amazing applying an oil is to your skin. I always wanted to try the Josie Maran Argan Oil but I just couldn't splurge on it when I knew that at my local drugstore I could find the drugstore brand for $9.99. This is my third bottle I have gone through and I love how deep it moisturizes my skin and when I wake up in the morning ("feelin' like P Diddy"....I had too!) my skin looks supple and hydrated. I find I always have such a natural glow to my face when I have used this. I will also sometimes apply the Argan Oil to the ends of my hair for some extra nourishment!

~~

There we are! My Top 14 Products of 2014! I hope you have found some new items to try out and please do leave a comment telling me some of your favourite items this past year!

Holy Grail Foundation Routine

Friday, January 2, 2015

Oh my goodness!

I am over the moon excited to share with you my HOLY GRAIL foundation! I have never titled anything as holy grail status because I feel like it's such a serious commitment. Well, I am fully committed to the Laura Mericer Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation (what a mouthful)! I am in the shade Creme and it is the best foundation match I have ever found. I did just post how much I'm loving the Bobbi Brown Skin foundation, and trust me I do love that foundation! But the LM foundation is literally EVERYTHING I have been looking for to perfect my skin!

When applied with a damn BeautyBlender I get a nice medium coverage that stays matte throughout the day on my combination skin.

I have just recently posted a demo and review of this foundation over on my YouTube which you can watch by clicking HERE. I hope you love this foundation as much as I do and please do subscribe to my channel if you haven't yet!

(ps - first post of 2015 over on Kyra's Beauty Bag! Woo hoo!)
